The Mannheimer Foundation, Inc. operates two nonhuman primate facilities in South Florida.
The original site, established in 1968, and located in Homestead, Florida includes 82 acres with space available for 2,000 monkeys.
Our second site, established in 2005, and located in LaBelle, Florida includes the continued development of 316 acres.
This facility has space available for large breeding populations. Both facilities include a variety of housing systems for breeding and research.
Animals are socially housed in large outdoor groups within corrals, field cages and corn crib units. Compatible pair housing is used whenever possible for research and clinical care.
